Children in Nicaragua who are interested in attending high school or college apply for a scholarship. Children are selected based on their grades, economic need, and essays to receive a scholarship and are connected to a specific sponsor in the United States. The sponsor and student write each other twice a year and a photo of the student is sent to their sponsor. The sponsor helps their student until they graduate from high school or college. The cost to sponsor a child varies between $200–$800 per year, depending on the school the student attends and if they are in high school or college. Sponsors are not required to commit to five years of sponsorship, but rather are asked every year if they would like to continue sponsoring their student.

We also gladly welcome general donations in any amount to support our program.
